As we battle on earth over the simplicities of hope, faith and love- You are with us. Your hand is upon our shoulders, in an attempt to guide us back, gently and without hesitation- to return us to the foot of the cross, where our eyes should be set, our troubles should be laid, and our commitment should be resting, always. It is through our stubbornness and our inability to see clearly- that we find ourselves stumbling, falling and tripping amongst ideas, ways and paths that are not of You. We find ourselves focused on denominations and rituals, rather than prayers and intercession. We find ourselves swept up in rules and limitations, rather than possibilities and opportunities. Forgive us Father, for finding our eyes regularly wandering away from Your glory, Your truth and Your ways- in search for worldly politics and judgement. You have not called us to judge Father, but to love and to stand firm in our faith and relationship with You. May we forever be mindful of where our heart found it’s freedom, where our body found it’s life, and where our spirit desires to someday rest. Forgive us for the times where we have brought you to weep for our selfishness Lord. May we re-kindle our relationship with You daily, and ground ourselves to a better understanding of all that You desire us to be focused on. How thankful we are Father, that you are patient, mighty and just.
